Job summary

Harmony Senior Services, LLC is seeking a Cook to prepare meals for residents, following approved menus and recipes. The role includes supervising dietary staff in the absence of leadership, maintaining a clean kitchen, and ensuring safety and portion control throughout meal service.

Applicants should have dining services experience, be Serv-Safe certified or willing to obtain certification within 60 days, and be able to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must have dining services experience.
• Serv-Safe certification required or willingness to complete within 60 days.
• Basic understanding of food service operations.
• Ability to read, write and perform simple calculations.
• Ability to learn quickly and follow directions.
• Experience in food preparation and cooking.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety principles.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals per approved menus and recipes and supervise staff in the absence of a Dining Services Director.
• Maintain clean, orderly work area and monitor temperatures in refrigerators/freezers.
• Report equipment issues and assist with portion control to minimize waste.
• Supervise dietary staff and participate in training and in-services.
• Attend required meetings and adapt to residents' dietary needs and preferences.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with all policies.
