Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Cook to prepare meals for residents, following approved menus and recipes. The role involves supervising dietary staff when the Dining Services Director is unavailable and ensuring kitchen safety and sanitation throughout shifts.

The position requires prior dining services experience, ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain within 60 days), the ability to read and perform basic math, and a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Formación

• Must have experience in dining services.
• Must be ServSafe certified or be willing to complete certification within 60 days of hire.
• Must have a basic understanding of food service operations.
• Must possess the ability to read, write, and make simple calculations.
• Must be able to follow oral and written directions.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and present menu items according to standard recipes.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area at all times.
• Participate in weekly cleaning routines planned by the Dining Services Director.
• Report faulty equipment and broken or chipped tableware to the supervisor.
• Report temperatures to ensure safety and proper cooling/holding of foods.
• Ensure leftovers are cooled, stored, identified, and dated.
• Supervise dietary staff when the Dining Services Director is absent.
• Assist in training new dietary employees.
