Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Cook to prepare meals for residents according to approved menus and recipes, while supervising dietary staff in the absence of the Dining Services Director. The role emphasizes maintaining a clean, safe kitchen and accurate temperature records.

The position requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a focus on safety, portion control, and dietary accommodations for residents.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in dining services.
• Must be Serv-Safe certified, or be willing to complete certification within 60 days of hire.
• Must possess the ability to read, write, and make simple calculations.
• Must be able to learn quickly and apply principles learned.
• Must be able to follow oral and written directions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals according to approved menus and recipes for residents.
• Supervise dietary staff in absence of Dining Services Director.
• Maintain a clean, safe kitchen and follow sanitation standards.
• Take and record food temperatures three times daily.
• Attend required in-service and staff meetings.
• Make menu substitutions with approval when items are unavailable.
• Report faulty equipment and damaged items and ensure proper storage of leftovers.
