Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Cook to prepare meals for residents with attention to dietary needs and approved menus. This role includes supervising staff in the senior living kitchen when the Dining Services Director is away, maintaining sanitation, and assisting with training.

Requirements include Serv-Safe certification or willingness to obtain it within 60 days, and strong reading/writing, math, and teamwork skills. Flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends, is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have Serv-Safe certification or willingness to complete within 60 days.
• Experience in dining services and food preparation required.
• Ability to read, write, and perform simple calculations.
• Strong teamwork and ability to follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present menu items according to recipes for residents.
• Supervise dietary staff in the Dining Services Director's absence.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly kitchen and work area.
• Record temperatures and monitor food safety and storage procedures.
• Assist in training new dietary staff and attend required meetings.
• Adapt menus with approved substitutions and ensure residents' dietary needs.
