Job summary

Harmony Senior Services, LLC is seeking a Cook to prepare meals according to approved menus and recipes while ensuring a clean, orderly kitchen environment. The role includes supervising dietary staff in the absence of the Dining Services Director and monitoring food temperatures and storage.

The position requires Serv-Safe certification (or willingness to obtain within 60 days), basic arithmetic, and the ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must have Serv-Safe certification or willingness to complete within 60 days of hire.
• Ability to read, write, and perform simple calculations.
• Able to stand for long periods and work in a warm kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals according to approved menus and recipes.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area at all times.
• Monitor temperatures and ensure proper food storage and dating.
• Supervise dietary staff in absence of Dining Services Director.
• Attend required in-service and staff meetings.
• Respect residents' dietary needs and preferences.
