The role involves following recipes, managing kitchen inventory, and providing excellent customer service to residents and staff. A high school diploma is required, with ServSafe certification preferred or required by state law.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Previous cook or food preparation experience preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Maintain positive attitude and communicate with occupants, staff, and leadership.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Lift/carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Routine, repetitive tasks and working around food/cleaning products.
• May complete an approved sanitation and safety course.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification required by state/county law.
• Residency within the service area required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; keep the kitchen clean.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, delivering excellent service.
• All other duties as assigned.
