Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc is seeking a Cook to prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will follow planned menus, ensure quality and presentation, and maintain a clean, safe kitchen in accordance with sanitation guidelines.

The role requires a high school diploma, prior cooking experience, ability to follow recipes, and physical stamina. Certifications such as ServSafe are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience as a cook or in food preparation is preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Must lift/carry up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• COVID-19 vaccination policy compliance is required.
• Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet standards.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines in the kitchen.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact with residents, staff and guests with excellent service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
