Job summary

PruittHealth Corporation is seeking a Dietary Aide HCC to assist with food preparation and serving in a patient-focused setting. You will follow established procedures for safety, sanitation, and meal delivery, while supporting nourishment needs and family communications.

The role emphasizes teamwork with the Dietary Manager and nursing staff, on-site duties, and adherence to infection control and quality standards relevant to long-term care facilities.

Qualifications

• Sufficient education to demonstrate functional literacy.
• On-the-job training provided; no prior experience required.
• Preferred: prior food service or long term care dietary experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist cook in meal preparation for patients/residents (salads, desserts, etc.).
• Use proper food handling procedures and policies.
• Deliver trays to patients/residents on halls.
• Deliver and serve meals to patients/residents in dining area; food and beverages.
• Prepare between-meal nourishments and serve per guidelines.
• Offer substitutions and record them per guidelines.
• Follow procedures for serving partner meals.
• Communicate with patients/residents and families in a warm, friendly, professional manner.
