Job summary

PruittHealth is seeking a Dietary Aide HCC to assist with meal preparation, tray delivery, and nourishment preparation for patients and residents. The role emphasizes adhering to food handling procedures, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting the dietary team with service and sanitation guidelines.

The position requires basic literacy, on-the-job training is provided, and prior food service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Sufficient education to demonstrate functional literacy.
• On-the-job training provided.
• Previous food service and/or food preparation experience preferred, long term care dietary experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist cook in preparing meals, desserts and snacks for patients/residents.
• Deliver trays to patients/residents on halls and to dining areas.
• Prepare between-meal nourishments and serve per guidelines.
• Record temperatures and maintain cleanliness in food service areas.
• Follow infection control policies and safety procedures.
