Job summary

PruittHealth is seeking a Dietary Aide HCC to assist with food preparation, tray delivery, and dining room service in a long‑term care setting. You will help with meal assembly, clean work areas, and follow infection control guidelines to ensure resident safety and satisfaction.

No prior experience required; on‑the‑job training provided. This role is on-site in a Georgia facility, offering stable hours and opportunities to learn in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Sufficient education to demonstrate functional literacy.
• On‑the‑job training provided.
• Previous food service and/or food preparation experience preferred, long term care dietary experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists cook in preparing meals, desserts and/or snacks for patients/residents; i.e. salads and desserts and other dishes.
• Uses proper food handling processes, procedures and policies.
• Delivers trays to patients/residents on halls.
• Delivers and serves meals to patients/residents in dining area; food and beverages.
• Prepares between-meal nourishments and serves in accordance with procedural guidelines.
• Offers menu substitutions and records them in accordance with procedural guidelines.
• Follows procedures for serving partner meals.
• Communicates well with patients/residents/clients and family members, greeting warmly and responding to concerns in a professional manner.
