Job summary

PruittHealth is seeking a Dietary Aide HCC to assist with meal preparation and tray delivery for patients and residents. You will follow established food handling and safety procedures, help maintain a clean dining area, and support the dietary team in serving meals and nourishing between-meal snacks.

Qualifications

• No formal experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Previous food service and/or food preparation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists cook in preparing meals, desserts and/or snacks for patients/residents; i.e. salads and desserts and other dishes.
• Uses proper food handling processes, procedures and policies.
• Delivers trays to patients/residents on halls.
• Delivers and serves meals to patients/residents in dining area; food and beverages.
• Prepares between-meal nourishments (make sandwiches, etc.) and serves in accordance with procedural guidelines.
• Offers menu substitutions and records them in accordance with procedural guidelines.
• Follows procedures for serving partner meals.
• Communicates well with patients/residents/clients and family members providing warm and friendly greeting and an approachable attitude to families, visitors, patients/residents/clients and responds to expressed concerns while displaying a helpful, caring demeanor.
