Job summary

PACS is seeking a Dietary Aide to support daily meal service under the supervision of the cook and dietary supervisor. You will learn routines, set up meal trays, wash dishes, assist with serving and maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen.

Applicants need a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to read recipes and procedures, obtain a food handler certificate, and lift up to 50 pounds while working in a low- to moderate-noise environment. Teamwork and training are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Ability to read recipes and follow procedures.
• Must obtain and maintain food handler certificates.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays.
• Strip down returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Assist with serving meals.
• Check and record temperatures of dishwashing machines.
• Operate dishwasher and maintain kitchen cleanliness.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep and mop kitchen and maintain floors.
• Carry out trash and keep groceries stored safely.
• Assist with orientation and training of dietary staff.
