Job summary

PACS is hiring a Dietary Aide to support dietary services in a healthcare setting. The role involves setting up meal trays, assisting with serving meals, and maintaining kitchen sanitation.

The position requires the ability to follow recipes and procedures, and to work closely with cooks and dietary supervisors. Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and must obtain a food handlers’ certificate.

Qualifications

• Must obtain and maintain a food handlers’ certificate.
• Ability to read technical procedures and follow recipes.
• Ability to present information clearly to managers and employees.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays and assist with serving meals.
• Strip down returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Operate dishwasher and monitor water temperature and chlorine levels.
• Clean work areas, surfaces, refrigerators, floors; sweep/mop as needed.
• Assist with orientation and training of dietary staff.
• Work cooperatively with personnel across departments.
