Yona is seeking a friendly Dietary Aide to join our team, delivering warm hospitality to residents, visitors and coworkers while helping maintain a clean dining environment.

You will set up dining areas, assist in meal preparation, deliver trays, and support menu planning under the supervision of a dietary manager. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, knowledge of sanitation, good communication, and a background check; we offer comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a dietary aide
• Experience in customer service is a plus
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines
• Apt in operating cookware, bakeware and cooking appliances
• Friendly with good communication skills
• Good physical condition and stamina
• High school diploma or equivalent; food services certification is a plus
• Must provide a criminal background check

Responsibilities

• Set up tables or other dining areas with cleanliness and order
• Prepare meals under supervision of a dietary manager or cook
• Deliver dishes and trays at designated times and rooms
• Take down dining areas and collect plates, glasses, etc.
• Discard leftovers and take out garbage
• Clean food stations and wash dishes, cooking vessels and silverware
• Stock ingredients and monitor inventory
• Assist in keeping track of expenses and menu planning
• Help maintain kitchen equipment and appliances
