Job summary

Yona is seeking a friendly Dietary Aide to join our care team. You will assist in dining service, help prepare meals under supervision, and ensure clean, orderly dining areas for residents, visitors, and staff.

Ideal candidates have prior dietary aide experience, strong communication, and a commitment to hygiene and safety. This on-site role supports the dietary manager and promotes resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a dietary aide.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Apt in operating cookware, bakeware and cooking appliances.
• Friendly with good communication skills.
• Good physical condition and stamina.
• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in food services is a plus.
• Must provide a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Set up tables or dining areas with cleanliness and order.
• Prepare meals under supervision of a dietary manager or cook.
• Deliver dishes and trays at designated times and rooms.
• Take down dining areas and collect plates and utensils.
• Discard leftovers and take out garbage.
• Clean food stations and wash dishes, vessels and silverware.
• Stock ingredients and monitor inventory.
• Assist in tracking expenses and menu planning.
• Help maintain kitchen equipment and appliances.
