Primary Responsibilities

Follow the direction of the Certified Dietary Manager and state guidelines to ensure that food is properly prepared, served to residents, and after meals cleaned up.

Essential Functions

• Assist with food prep and cooking following universal precautions and state/federal regulations.
• Prepare and serve beverages.
• Set up and pass trays for meal service.
• Stock snack cart.
• Buss tables and trays.
• Clean the kitchen work area.
• Wash dishes.
• Follow proper handwashing guidelines.
• Complete additional special projects or tasks assigned by the CDM or Executive Director.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must have Texas Food Handler Certificate.
• Working in a commercial kitchen preferred.
