Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulics, and HVAC systems. The role involves on-site and on-road work to keep our fleet performing at peak levels.

You will gain exposure to state-of-the-art vehicles, receive training in new technologies, and contribute to keeping drivers on schedule while serving the community with reliable waste collection services.

Qualifications

• Diagnose multi-system issues on heavy-duty trucks.
• Experience with maintenance on Class 1-8 vehicles and related systems.
• ASE certifications are a plus but not required.
• Commercial Driver’s License is a plus but not required.
• 3–5 years of technician experience or automotive tech schooling within 3 months of start.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair vehicle components and systems on-site and on the road.
• Chassis component repair and maintenance.
• Refuse bodies, hydraulic, electrical, and braking systems.
• Light engine repair, suspension, drivetrain, and HVAC.
• Perform line maintenance welding and fabrication.
• Provide safe road service to return equipment to operation.
