Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician A to perform repair and maintenance on diesel and non-diesel trucks and equipment. Under supervision, you will diagnose multi-system issues, repair chassis components, braking, engine, HVAC and aftertreatment systems, and support on-site and road maintenance.

Responsibilities include inspecting and repairing complex systems, using scan tools, and completing company training programs.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues.
• Consistently demonstrate technical expertise.
• 5-7 years of experience as a technician working on heavy-duty trucks.
• ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains advanced knowledge of and strong skill proficiency in vehicle components and systems for repair on-site and on the road.
• Chassis component repair and maintenance; Refuse bodies and braking systems; Engine repair and diagnostics.
• Complete understanding of diesel fuel systems and fuel systems diagnostics; Suspension, drivetrain and steering systems; HVAC diagnostics and repair.
• Identify the source of malfunctions using electronic tools and perform other job-related duties.
