Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to perform repair and maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical systems, brakes, engines, HVAC, and suspensions. Role includes on-road service as needed and a pathway for growth within a large national fleet.

Minimum 1 year of technician experience or upcoming graduation from automotive college/technical school within 3 months, with basic inspection abilities and a valid

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a technician position or will be graduating from automotive college/technical school within the next 3 months.
• Basic inspections with limited supervision in heavy truck or automotive systems (suspensions & steering; engine; brakes; electrical; hydraulics; drivetrain).
• ASE Certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required; CDL is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge and perform preventative and repair maintenance on chassis, refuse bodies, brakes, engine, suspension, steering, HVAC, and related systems.
• Provide on-road service when needed to ensure equipment is returned to operation safely and efficiently.
• Follow company training programs and complete duties as assigned, supporting a single fleet with modern equipment.
