Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician A to perform repair and maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks, including chassis, bodies, braking, engines, hydraulics, and HVAC systems. You’ll work with state‑of‑the‑art equipment, serving drivers on routes and supporting a single fleet.

With 5–7 years of heavy‑duty experience, you will diagnose multi‑system issues, utilize scan tools, and perform complex repairs on-site and on the road.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience as a technician on heavy‑duty trucks.
• Ability to diagnose multi‑system issues and perform repairs with minimal supervision.
• ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1–T8) a plus but not required. CDL is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain chassis components, refuse bodies, braking, engine, hydraulics and suspension systems.
• Diagnose electrical concerns using scan tools and perform line welding as needed.
• Perform on-site and on-road repairs with minimal supervision.
• Complete company training programs and follow safety standards.
