Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to perform repair and maintenance on a diverse fleet, including diesel and non-diesel trucks.

Duties cover chassis components, refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical systems, air brake systems, engines, HVAC, suspension, and more, with on-call road service as needed. Benefits include comprehensive medical and retirement plans, with opportunities for training and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate technical expertise.
• Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
• Experience with maintenance on Class 1-5 light/medium and heavy-duty Class 7-8 equipment; or commuting from automotive college/tech school.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a working knowledge of vehicle components and systems; perform preventive and repair maintenance on-site and on the road.
• Repair and maintain chassis components and refuse bodies, including hydraulic and electrical systems, and air/hydraulic braking systems.
• Perform light engine repair, suspension, drivetrain and steering system work; HVAC maintenance.

Maintenance on heavy-duty trucks

ASE certifications (T1-T8) a plus

Commercial Driver’s License a plus

Valid Driver’s License

Education

Automotive college or technical school
