Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulics, and control systems. You will service on-site and on-road to keep our fleet operating.

The role emphasizes training on new technologies and a stable schedule with competitive wages and benefits. Prior experience with heavy trucks and ASE knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diagnose multi-system issues with moderate technical proficiency.
• Experience with maintenance on Classes 1-8 vehicles or equivalent.
• ASE certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required.
• CDL is a plus but not required.
• 3-5 years in a technician role or recent automotive school graduation within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and repair maintenance on vehicle components and systems, both on-site and on the road.
• Repair chassis, refuse bodies, braking, engine, suspension, drivetrain, and HVAC systems.
• Perform line maintenance welding and fabrication as needed.
• Provide on-road service to bring equipment back to operation safely and efficiently.
• Identify malfunction sources using electronic tools and complete required training.
