Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to perform repair and maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, hydraulic and electrical systems, and HVAC components. You will work under supervision, on-site and on the road, ensuring the fleet remains safe and productive.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of hands-on experience with Class 1–8 vehicles or equivalent training, a valid driver's license, and a willingness to learn new technologies.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of technician experience or imminent graduation from an accredited automotive program.
• Experience with gasoline and diesel-powered equipment diagnosis and repair.
• Valid Driver's License is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and repair maintenance on heavy trucks and related systems.
• Repair chassis components, refuse bodies, braking, HVAC, suspension and drive train.
• Provide safe road service and diagnose malfunctions using electronic tools.
• Complete required company training programs.
