Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel trucks and refuse bodies. Under supervision, you will diagnose multi-system issues, perform preventative maintenance, and support drivers to keep routes on schedule.

This on-site role offers hands-on training, opportunities for growth, and competitive wages with comprehensive benefits. A $3,000 bonus is available for the 2nd shift, along with medical, retirement, and PTO benefits.

Qualifications

• Diagnose multi-system issues across trucks and equipment.
• Experience with Class 1–8 vehicles or similar equipment.
• ASE certifications (T1–T8) a plus.
• CDL a plus or not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a working knowledge of vehicle components and systems and perform preventative and repair maintenance on-site and on the road.
• Repair and maintenance of chassis components, refuse bodies, hydraulic/electrical systems, brakes, engines, HVAC, suspension, drivetrain and steering.
• Safely provides road service when necessary to ensure equipment is returned to operation.
• Identify malfunctions using electronic tools and complete training programs.
