Job summary

Republic Services in Metairie, LA is seeking a Maintenance Technician C to perform preventive maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment under supervision. You will support our drivers, service a fleet of state-of-the-art trucks, and help keep routes running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Completion of a certified diesel maintenance program is a plus but not required.
• ASE Certification T8 PM is a plus but not required.
• 1-3 years of experience in maintenance or related field.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures and troubleshoot faults.
• Valid Driver’s License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains basic knowledge of a vehicle’s mechanical and electrical systems to perform preventive maintenance and simple repairs.
• Conducts oil changes, fluid replenishment, tire changes, and basic electrical work as needed.
• Completes Company training programs and follows SOPs.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
