Job summary

Dollar General Fleet is hiring Diesel Technicians in Blair, NE. The role covers diagnosing and repairing trucks and trailers, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring safety and compliance across the fleet.

Company-provided tools and a comprehensive benefits package accompany a competitive hourly wage of $24.00–$35.00 with weekly pay. Experience with Class A trucks, air brakes, hydraulic and electrical systems, and welding/fabrication is required.

Qualifications

At least 1 year of experience on Class A trucks.
Experience with air brakes, hydraulic and electrical systems.
Welding and fabrication experience required
Tire repair experience preferred
Perform DOT inspections and compliance

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair truck and trailer components such as doors, floors, side panels, electrical and air brake systems
Perform preventive maintenance on tractor and trailer equipment, including routine technical repairs and completing repair orders
Perform maintenance repairs to maximize safety and reliability on all fleet vehicles including tractors, trailers, lift-gates, and company-owned equipment
Abide by all company policies and safety rules and maintain a clean, safe work environment
Assist drivers with addressing outstanding vehicle issues
Maintain repairs for Class 8 trucks, trailers and yard tractors
Safely operate gauges, forklifts, shunt trucks, torches, grinders, and various hand and power safety tools
