Job summary

Dollar General Fleet is hiring diesel technicians in Blair, Nebraska. The position offers hourly pay between $24.00 and $35.00 with weekly payments, a comprehensive benefits package, and company-provided tools at no cost.

Paid vacation and holidays are included, along with access to the newest technology and equipment. This role requires at least one year of experience with Class A trucks and experience with air brakes, hydraulic and electrical systems.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience working on Class A trucks.
• Experience with air brakes, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Prior welding and fabrication experience is required.
• Tire repair experience is preferred.
• Perform DOT inspections and ensure compliance.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair truck and trailer components such as doors, floors, side panels, electrical and air brake systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tractor and trailer equipment and complete repair orders.
• Perform maintenance repairs to maximize safety and reliability of fleet vehicles.
• Follow company policies and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Assist drivers with addressing outstanding vehicle issues.
• Maintain repairs for Class 8 trucks, trailers and yard tractors.
• Safely operate gauges and hand tools as required.
