Qualifications

• At least one year of experience working on Class A trucks.
• Experience with air brakes, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Prior welding and fabrication experience.
• Tire repair experience preferred.
• Perform DOT inspections and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair truck and trailer components (doors, floors, side panels, electrical and air brake systems).
• Perform preventive maintenance on tractor and trailer equipment and complete repair orders.
• Perform repairs to maximize safety and reliability on fleet vehicles (tractors, trailers, lift-gates, company equipment).
• Follow company policies and safety rules and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Assist drivers with outstanding vehicle issues.
• Maintain repairs for Class 8 trucks, trailers and yard tractors.
• Safely operate gauges, forklifts, shunt trucks, torches and grinders.
