Job summary
Dollar General Fleet is seeking Diesel Technicians for our Blair, NE location. Earn $24.00 - $35.00 per hour, with weekly pay and a comprehensive benefits package. Company-provided tools and paid vacation/holidays are included, with modern tech and equipment.
Requires at least 1 year of experience with Class A trucks. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing truck and trailer systems, performing PMs, DOT compliance, and supporting drivers with vehicle issues.
Qualifications
- 1 year of experience working on Class A trucks.
- Experience with air brakes, hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Prior welding and fabrication experience required.
- Tire repair experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair truck and trailer components (doors, floors, side panels, electrical and air brake systems).
- Perform preventive maintenance on tractor and trailer equipment and complete repair orders.
- Perform maintenance repairs to maximize safety and reliability of fleet vehicles (tractors, trailers, lift-gates, and company equipment).
- Abide by company policies and safety rules; maintain a clean, safe work environment.
- Assist drivers with addressing outstanding vehicle issues.
