Job summary

Penske is hiring a Technician at our York, PA location to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a variety of fleet vehicles. You’ll use Penske tools, diagnose issues, and ensure safety for customers on the road.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to solve problems and use tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and outdoors.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must follow Penske safety and maintenance policies (DOT/OSHA).
• Regular, predictable attendance required.
• DOT/FMCSA requirements for driving duties may apply.

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Use Penske’s tools to log, research and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance and component lubrication on gas and diesel engines.
• Learn new skills through Penske’s technician training and hands-on coaching.
• Work on other projects as assigned by supervisor.
