Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing, based in Reading, PA, is seeking an Automotive/Diesel Technician to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet. You’ll log repairs, use diagnostic tools, and work with experienced supervisors to learn Penske’s maintenance processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to use basic tools and solve problems.
• Compliance with DOT/OSHA safety and Penske policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and ensure vehicles are safe for customers.
• Use Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance and component lubrication and replacement on gas/diesel engines.
• Learn new skills through Penske’s technician training and coaching.
• Take on other projects as assigned by supervisor.
