Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing is seeking a Technician II in White Deer, PA to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet. You will work independently on major and minor repairs, run road tests, and mentor less experienced technicians while learning Penske’s maintenance processes and technologies.

Qualifications

• 3 years of practical experience with vehicle maintenance
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
• Specialized training and experience in diagnosis/troubleshooting major components; ASE Certification and 608/609 certifications preferred
• Valid driver's license required
• Ability to solve problems; excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• Willing to work in non-climate-controlled conditions
• Basic computer skills
• Must comply with DOT, OSHA and Penske safety policies
• DOT drug screening and FMCSA considerations for drivers

Responsibilities

• Maintain and ensure vehicles are safe for customers
• Perform preventive maintenance services on truck and trailer equipment
• Repair and troubleshoot engines, transmissions, differentials, turbochargers, fuel systems
• Keep work area clean and safe
• Use Penske tools to log, research and complete repairs; basic diagnostics
• Learn new skills through Penske technician training
• Take on additional tasks as assigned by supervisor
