Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing is seeking an experienced Technician for a stable, growth-oriented role on the 2nd shift (Tuesday–Saturday). You will perform preventative maintenance and repairs across a variety of OEM equipment, with emphasis on safety and reliability.

The position offers mentorship, ongoing training, and access to Penske's advanced maintenance technology. You will be expected to work independently on both major and minor repairs, document work, and participate in continuous training to

Qualifications

• 6 years of practical experience with truck and tractor-trailer maintenance
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
• Specialized training and experience in diagnosis/troubleshooting of major components (engines, transmissions, differentials), OEM training courses, ASE Certification, and 608/609 certifications (preferred)
• Experienced using all tools of the trade (including welding equipment, diagnostic equipment, and hand and power tools)
• Valid driver's license required, CDL preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and ensuring vehicles are safe for customers
• Performing preventive maintenance services on truck and trailer equipment with minimal supervision
• Repairing major components (engines, transmissions, differentials) and replacing assemblies as needed
• Keeping the work area clean and safe
• Using Penske tools to log, research, and complete repairs including diagnostics
• Learning new skills through Penske technician training
• Taking on additional projects as assigned by supervisor
