Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing, Beaumont, TX, is seeking an entry-level Diesel Technician/Mechanic III. You’ll perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet, learn Penske’s maintenance processes, and gain hands-on experience with advanced diagnostic technology.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude with 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Ability to solve problems and use tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Must work well in a team and outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vehicles to ensure safety and reliability for customers.
• Use Penske’s tools to log, research and complete repairs including basic diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance such as tire rotation and lubrication on gas and diesel engines.
• Partner with the manager to learn new skills through technician training and hands-on coaching.
• Handle additional projects as assigned by supervisor.
