Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to solve problems and use tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and outside.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must comply with Penske safety and maintenance policies; DOT/OSHA standards applied.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential.
• CDL holders may require DOT drug screening and FMCSA Clearinghouse review.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service vehicles to keep customers safe.
• Use Penske tools and technologies to log, research, and complete repairs.
• Perform preventative maintenance like tire rotation and lubrication.
• Learn new skills through training and coaching.
• Support supervisor with additional tasks as needed.
