Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing is seeking a mechanically inclined Technician to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet. You will help customers keep vehicles on the road and learn Penske’s maintenance processes with expert supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational/technical certification preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to solve problems and use common hand/tools safely.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Team player with ability to work outdoors and independently.
• Basic computer skills and compliance with Penske safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Log, research and complete repairs using Penske tools and tech, including basic diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance and component lubrication, some electrical and cooling system work.
• Learn new skills through Penske training and hands-on coaching with your supervisor.
• Collaborate on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
