Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. in North Liberty, IA seeks a Technician to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet. You’ll use Penske tools, log repairs, and perform basic diagnostics, with training and certification support.

You must be mechanically inclined, with 1–2 years automotive or diesel repair experience and a valid driver’s license. The role offers a competitive starting wage, shift differentials, strong benefits, and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate tools.
• The ability to pass DOT/OSHA safety requirements and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers
• Using Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics
• Performing preventative maintenance repairs such as tire rotation and lubrication, plus some electrical and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engines
• Partnering with your manager to learn new skills via Penske’s technician training and hands-on coaching
• Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
