Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. is hiring a Technician in Peosta, IA for 1st shift (Tue-Sat, 7am-3:30pm).

You’ll perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on a varied fleet, using Penske tools and diagnostics while learning through hands-on coaching and Penske’s certification program. You’ll work with supervisors and senior technicians to grow your skills, with access to advanced maintenance technology and extensive training opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills required.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
• Must follow DOT/OSHA/safety policies and PPE rules.
• Willingness to travel within a near geography for training.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and ensure vehicles are safe for customers.
• Log, research, and complete repairs using Penske tools and basic diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance such as tire rotation and lubrication on gas/diesel engines.
• Learn new skills through Penske training and hands-on coaching.
• Take on additional projects as assigned by the supervisor.
