Job summary

Penske is hiring a Technician in Michigan to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet. You will log repairs with Penske tools, diagnose basic issues, and ensure safety and reliability for customers.

The role offers growth through technician training, with a focus on hands-on coaching and learning new skills, while supporting a dynamic, safety‑minded work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical certification preferred.
• 1–2 years automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to use tools and follow safety instructions.
• Good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Using Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Performing preventative maintenance and components lubrication/replacement, some electrical system and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engines.
• Partnering with the manager to learn new skills through Penske’s technician training and hands‑on coaching.
• Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
