Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing is hiring a Technician in Flat Rock, MI to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on our fleet. You’ll use Penske’s tools and technologies to log, diagnose, and complete repairs, and you’ll help keep vehicles safe and on the road.

You’ll work with experienced supervisors and master technicians, receive industry-certified training, and grow with a stable career at a company that values safety, reliability, and excellent benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude required; 1–2 years automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to solve problems and use tools effectively.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and outdoors.
• Familiarity with Penske safety policies and DOT/OSHA rules.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service vehicles to ensure safety for customers.
• Log, research, and complete repairs using Penske tools and diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance and component lubrication on gas/diesel engines.
• Learn new skills via Penske’s technician training and hands-on coaching.
• Participate in other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
