Penske is hiring a skilled technician in Madison, AL to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet. You’ll work with Penske’s tools, gain hands-on coaching, and contribute to safety and reliability on the road.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to use Penske tools and follow safety policies.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and outdoors.
• DOT/OSHA safety compliance and background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Use Penske's tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance such as tire rotation, lubrication, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel vehicles.
• Learn new skills through Penske’s technician training and hands-on coaching.
• Work on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
