Job summary

Penske is seeking a Technician in Montgomery, AL to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet. You will diagnose, service, and certify components using Penske tools, while learning through hands-on coaching.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Valid driver's license.
• The ability to solve problems and comfort using tools.
• Excellent customer service skills and communication skills.
• The ability to work well as part of a team and outside.
• Basic computer skills.
• Understand and comply with Penske safety policies; including DOT/OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair vehicles to ensure safety and reliability for customers.
• Use Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research, and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance (e.g., tire rotation, lubrication) on gas/diesel engines.
• Learn new skills via Penske’s technician training and hands-on coaching.
• Handle other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
