Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
- Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to solve problems and comfort using tools
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team and outdoors
- Basic computer skills
- Must understand and comply with Penske policies and safety rules
- Willingness to pass DOT/OSHA safety requirements and drug screening as applicable
- Regular, predictable attendance is essential
Responsibilities
- Maintain and ensure safety of vehicles for customers
- Use Penske tools/tech to diagnose and complete repairs
- Perform preventive maintenance like tire rotation and lubrication
- Learn new skills through Penske training and coaching
- Handle additional projects as assigned by supervisor
