Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Shop Diesel Technician II to support fleet maintenance. You will perform licensed DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light to heavy repairs, using diagnostic tools and company systems.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED plus 3 years’ related experience (or 5 years’ related field experience).
Licensed DOT inspections and preventative maintenance experience preferred.
Ability to diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

Perform DOT inspections and PMs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a shop setting.
Diagnose, repair, and upgrade electrical, brake, cooling, and engine systems.
Collaborate with Service Writer to assess customer needs and prepare quotes.
Maintain a safe, clean work environment and proper tool/equipment usage.
Document all work in Repair Orders using RO and Karmak app; upload photos and findings.
Occasionally travel to customer locations to perform service and inspections.
Adhere to safety policies and OSHA/EPA/DOT regulations.
