Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Shop Diesel Technician II to support maintenance operations and service delivery for Cox Automotive customers. The role includes performing licensed DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, light to heavy repairs, and diagnostics under supervision to grow technical expertise.

The position requires adherence to safety policies, plus the ability to travel to customer sites occasionally and work in a dynamic shop environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, plus 3 years in related field.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Able to obtain and maintain Driver Qualification File.
• Own set of hand tools required to perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe operating practices and procedures.
• Independent parts determination and coordination with Parts Department.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment daily.
• Perform DOT inspections and PMs on light, medium and heavy vehicles.
• Communicate RO findings and obtain approvals for repairs.
