Job summary

FleetPride is seeking a Technician II to perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy‑duty trucks and trailers in a shop environment. You will work under limited supervision to diagnose failures and implement repairs across braking, electrical, suspension, and drivetrain systems.

The role requires a Diesel Technology degree, 3+ years with Class 7/8 trucks, and welding skills; airbrake certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diesel technology associate degree.
• 3+ years of experience with class 7 & 8 trucks.
• Experience repairing 53’ trailers.
• Welding experience.
• Airbrake certified.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles to determine damage and maintenance needs.
• Provide preventative maintenance solutions when appropriate.
• Maintain high productivity and prevent comebacks.
• Perform routine maintenance services (oil, filters, lubricants).
• Repair brakes, suspensions, electrical and exhaust systems as needed.
• Test drives to verify repairs and diagnose issues.
