Job summary

FleetPride is seeking a Technician II to master preventative maintenance, diagnose vehicle systems, and perform advanced repairs with limited supervision. You will diagnose failures, suggest repairs, and ensure quality workmanship in a non-climate controlled shop.

Ideal candidates bring a Diesel Technology Associates degree and 3+ years of experience with heavy trucks, including 53’ trailers. Must be able to lift 50 lbs and use welding skills as needed.

Qualifications

• Diesel technology degree plus 3+ years of experience with class 7 & 8 trucks.
• Experience repairing 53’ trailers.
• Welding and airbrake certification.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles to determine extent of damage or malfunction.
• Provide preventative maintenance solutions to customers when appropriate.
• Maintain 80% productivity and prevent comebacks.
• Perform inspections and preventative maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, lubrications and filter replacements.
• Repair, reline, replace, and adjust brakes (air, hydraulic, electric).
• Test drive vehicles and components with proper equipment.
• Troubleshoot suspension, electrical, exhaust, and steering systems.
