Job summary

FleetPride, the largest after-market distributor of heavy-duty truck and trailer parts in the U.S., seeks a Mobile Technician II to perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and skilled repairs with limited supervision.

You'll work in the shop between service calls and may participate in after-hour on-call rotations. Required experience with class 7 & 8 trucks, welding, and air brake certification; CDL preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Diesel Technology certificate/degree is a plus, but not required.
• 3+ years experience repairing class 7 & 8 trucks and trailers.

Responsibilities

• Examine vehicles to determine extent of damage or malfunction.
• Provide preventative maintenance solutions when appropriate.
• Maintain 80% productivity and perform inspections and maintenance.
• Repair, reline, replace, and adjust brakes and related components.
• Troubleshoot electrical, exhaust, steering, and suspension systems.
• Perform welding and basic fabrication as needed.
• Operate safely in shop and field environments.
