Job summary

FleetPride is the largest after-market distributor of heavy-duty truck and trailer parts in the U.S. The Technician II role covers preventive maintenance, basic and advanced repairs, and diagnostic work with limited supervision.

You will inspect vehicles, perform oil changes, brake work, suspensions, electrical systems, exhaust work, and test components. The ideal candidate has 3+ years with Class 7–8 trucks and a Diesel Technology Associate degree.

Qualifications

• Diesel tech degree and hands-on shop experience required.
• 3+ years’ experience with class 7 & 8 trucks and knowledge of heavy-duty systems.
• Welding and airbrake certification preferred; ability to lift 50 lbs and work safely.

Responsibilities

• Examine vehicles to determine extent of damage or malfunction.
• Provide preventative maintenance solutions and perform oil changes, lubrications, and filter replacements.
• Repair, reline, replace, and adjust brakes; test drive and diagnose systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair suspension, electrical, exhaust, steering, and A/C systems.
• Adjust, remove, and replace clutches and drivelines; repair frames; fabricate as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace.
