Job summary

FleetPride is a leading after-market distributor of heavy-duty truck and trailer parts in the U.S. The Technician II role focuses on preventative maintenance, basic and advanced adjustments, and diagnostics with limited supervision to diagnose vehicle system failures and propose repairs.

The position requires hands-on work in a non-climate controlled shop environment, with duties spanning brake service, suspensions, electrical, fuel systems and component replacements.

Qualifications

• Diesel Technology Associates degree required.
• 3+ years of experience with class 7 & 8 trucks.
• Experience repairing 53’ trailers.
• Welding experience.

Responsibilities

• Examine vehicles to determine extent of damage or malfunction(s).
• Provide customers with preventative maintenance solution, whenever appropriate.
• Perform routine and scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications and filter replacements.
• Repair, rel ine, replace, and adjust brakes (air, hydraulic, electric and brake accessories).
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, exhaust systems, steering systems, air conditioning, PTOs and custom exhaust systems.
